Favorite Childhood Toy

When I was about 6 years old I had this little dirt bike and quad that we’d take out to the desert. When I was learning to ride my dad would hold onto the back while I started hitting the throttle, about 30 seconds in I look back and to my surprise he wasn’t holding it anymore. My uncle actually made a miniature course in the desert using a bulldozer. He mad little jumps and turns, and I probably looked like I was riding on a kitty-course but to me it felt like I was a professional rider. When I’d take these little jumps which I probably caught an inch of air if that I felt like I was flying. I’d even try little tricks like putting my legs out to the side on the jumps. I remember when I would be going to hit a turn i’d put my leg down in order to make sharper cuts. I even wiped out before because the dirt was too soft on a turn and it caught my tire making me tip over. I just wish I could’ve seen myself riding. I must’ve been only going like 15 mph, but it would feel like I was hauling ass.

Something I Miss

I miss when I was younger in middle school and I didn’t have a care in the world. I would miss a lot of school just to go and ride my BMX with my friend cause I didn’t really have to take school all that serious, I mean it was just middle school. It probably sounds cooler than it was cause I know I would find myself bored much of the time. After all I didn’t really have money for things other than food, so I’d just ride to the mall to just walk around with my friends. Also I use to get on xbox and play with all my friends for like 8 hours at a time. We’d play things like Halo and Modern warfare 2. I still do play xbox occasionally but you cant really play with all your friends because of things like work and school, and everyone tends to be busy and on different schedules. I also miss the simple fact that when you’re that young you feel like you can do and become anything you want. I am still young so my options are open but it does feel a little late and unrealistic to try and become a professional athlete or something along those lines. Also when summertime would come I’d feel like I had all the time in the world to do, well pretty much nothing, but that was fine because as long as I can go horse around and ride my BMX I was content.

Time I Laughed Really Hard

I’m aways laughing at stuff, so its difficult to decide what to talk about that I’ve found funny. My girlfriend had mentioned to me a comedy special on Netflix, and later that day she threw it on the television. I’m a fan of stand up comedians like Kevin Hart, C.K. Louis, and Jeff Ross, but I’d never heard of the person she was putting on named, Bert Kreischer, and the name of the special was ‘Secret time’. I was kind of on the border on whether I should watch it because I know my girlfriend has weird taste in movies. It starts of a little weird, because he opens up by walking on stage, throwing his shirt into the crowd, and he’s got a huge hairy beer belly. 5 minutes in and I’m even more weirded out. He really just decided to dive in by telling some really gross short jokes that I didn’t think were that funny. A little more in though he starts telling actual stories. He talks about how he accidentally brought beer he mistook for a diet coke to a parent teacher conference, and whats even more crazy is he chugged it. One of the funniest people his talks about is his youngest daughter named Ila. Apparently she’s in softball and while watching her practice he see’s what he thinks is the first triple play he ever saw, but only to find out they’re practicing without a ball. So the coach is vocally telling the girls things like “ground ball to lily” and they pretend to catch the ball and throw it to home. So the coach goes “alright pop fly to Ila” and immediately Ila turns around looking above her should sprinting at full speed. She then stops takes off her glove and throws it on the ground frustrated she couldn’t catch a ball that doesn’t exist.
